Ever have an aunt who really knew how to wear make-up?I seem to have brought out the ‘auntie’ side of this soigné Inca villainess; my new still-life of the WDCC sculpture Yzma : “Calculating Conspirator”, débuting today. Yzma’s mascara has been heavily dusted on… but in charcoal in this Numbered Limited of 12 in three versions. (‘Super Size’ version shown in photo.)  “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple, With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me…” go the words of Jenny Joseph’s 1961 poem. Although the sculpture does indeed depict this wrinkled schemer in purple attire and an oversize feathered headpiece, I picked out the shining turquoise in Auntie Yzma’s earrings for the signature single color in this latest addition to my “Where Pictures Shine” set of drawings. Follow me on Facebook… http://on.fb.me/qNb3dY
